While most of you get silly over the new Paradise Lost and Amorphis records, both worthy of praise in their own right, you will have to excuse me while I go off into very small corner and play with the horribly underrated mope rock band Fall of the Leafe. Even since their melodic death metal days, through residing on a tiny Argentinean label, through their overly quirky Volvere and now their homecoming of sorts to Finland’s own Firebox records for their fifth album, Fall of the Leafe have been one of my favorite bands yet still seem vastly unheralded.
